Michael Beane and his related companies have been at the center of the turf protection sales and rental industry in the United States. Beginning in 1994 with the first sale of Terraplas in the United States to Foxboro Stadium (now Gillette Stadium), the Terraplas name has been the standard in the high-end turf protection business. Since 1994 Terraplas North America (sales) and Terraplas USA (rentals) have worked together to create a coordinated market strategy that has allowed Terraplas product owners to make ancillary income by renting their product through the Terraplas USA rental program.

In 2007, Covermaster, Inc., a sales and marketing partner was added to the Terraplas network. Between Terraplas and Covermaster, they service the vast majority of all of the Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball and NFL stadiums and teams.

In 2008, Michael Beane and Robert Else, the Chairman of Terraplas Plc, purchased all the outstanding stock in Terraplas USA and transformed the rental company into a combined Sales and Rental company under the corporate name Terraplas USA, Inc. Worldwide, 11,500,000 sq ft of Terraplas products have been sold with 2,000,000 sq.ft. of that amount in the US. Today Terraplas USA Rentals has access to over 1,200,000 sq ft of Terraplas products for rental applications for both natural grass and synthetic turf.

Headquartered in Texas, Terraplas USA also has an office a warehouse in Cleveland, Ohio as well as access to its products from Miami to Boston and Seattle to Los Angeles. Terraplas USA is the rental management company for those venues and facilities that have purchased Terraplas products. The Associate Partners include but are not limited to: Foxboro Stadium Partners in Foxboro, MA (Gillette Stadium), SMG in Chicago, IL (Soldier Field), Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO, The Miami Marlins, the Houston Astros, Stub Hub Center in Carson, CA, the Seattle Mariners, Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL, The University of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff, AZ, ATT Park in San Francisco, Busch Stadium in St Louis, MO.
